We’re pleased to announce that the new home community of Timber by Trumark Homes has won a few awards at the 2016 BIA Excellence Awards! We were excited to team up with Trumark on the marketing and advertising for this project and it was great to see all of the hard work from our creative team come to fruition.
The Timber community, which is comprised of the new townhome and single-family home neighborhoods of Canopy and Shade in Newark, California, was recognized for Best Signage, Best Architectural Design – Multi-Family (a big shout out to KTGY Architecture + Planning) and Community of the Year – Multi-Product.
The goal of the signage was to reflect the vibes of the neighborhoods here and to attract and appeal to young tech-savvy professionals and families in the Silicon Valley – all done through an expression of the personality of the homes and a desired lifestyle in this NorCal tech hub. The signage stayed true to the community’s unique branding of warm colors, welcoming imagery and an organic yet modern feel. The strategically placed signs are subtle yet meant to catch the eye of locals and commuters.
It’s no wonder why Timber won for Best Architectural Design – Multi-Family. The sustainable homes designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning display a blend of modern and Craftsman-style architecture with highly desired amenities and features like 10’ ceilings, an oversized second-story deck, chef’s kitchen, side yard and indoor/outdoor living spaces. It was an ideal site to draw in executives and multigenerational families wanting an enhanced lifestyle and grand amenities.
There are so many reasons why Timber won Community of the Year – Multi-Product. The demand for new homes in the city of Newark is high because of its central locale to employment, restaurants, shopping and more – and that’s where Timber comes into play. This community speaks to those who want a life outside of the city but to be close enough to enjoy everything this area has to offer. The builder utilized details that cater to the lifestyle of tech professionals, such as modern conveniences like pre-wiring and electric vehicle conduits, and features for families, including a neighborhood rec house with tot lot, barbecues and fire pit.
